A customer asks a question. Someone picks it up. A reply moves the conversation forward. Followell Dex explores how those everyday handoffs can feel clear and direct in a shared inbox.
This project is an interactive front-end recreation of the Superior Dex inbox. The local prototype uses sample conversations to make the interface tangible: selecting a thread, assigning it to a teammate, preparing a reply, and archiving it when the work is done.
A place for every conversation
Active, assigned, and archived views give the inbox a simple structure. Search helps locate a conversation, while assignment controls keep the person handling it visible. Contact details can be edited in context, and archived conversations can be restored.
On a wider screen, the conversation list and selected thread sit together. On a phone, the interface moves from the list into the conversation, giving each step room to breathe.
Useful replies, with room for judgment
The prototype includes a library of reusable messages for recurring moments such as proof reviews, quotes, and order updates. Replies can be grouped, pinned, searched, and inserted into the composer for review.
Template fields can draw on the selected conversation and assignee. When a detail is missing, the composer flags it and blocks the local send action until it is resolved. The interaction keeps a convenient starting point from becoming an unfinished reply.
Making the workflow tangible
The work shown here is interface design and browser-based interaction prototyping. Plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript make it possible to explore the inbox, team settings, and reply library together without requiring a live service.
Messages and assignments in this version are local demonstrations. It does not connect to the live product, deliver customer messages, or establish production reliability. Its value is a concrete interface that can be reviewed and refined before those service connections are made.
